93 Still Plugging Along

Today 93L is battling high wind shear around 20 knots, which is making development difficult. However, wind shear is supposed to decrease by tonight, which may give 93 a chance to become a tropical depression by tomorrow morning.

The GFS and European forecast models still predict a north-northwest path for 93L that will bring it in contact with the low pressure trough off the U.S. east coast, and ultimately re-curve the system out to sea…

A little hometown history for today!

On this date in 1979 a 45 minute hail storm blasted Fort Collins, CO. with baseball and softball sized hail. In all, 2,000 homes and 2,500 automobiles were damaged. Anyone out there remember that one? What a storm!!
